Tried following your recipe but the chocolate, syrup and oil mix ended up turning into a thick paste. Any pointers as to why that happened?

What annoys me is people who just label food as ‘healthy’ without having any evidence or very little knowledge as to why it is good for you. I’m afraid that coconut oil is NOT good for you at all.

Can you sub coconut oil for a different oil? I don't like coconut oil but I'm afraid another oil won't produce the same results. Any thoughts? Thanks!

The written recipe states 1/4 cup maple syrup which is added to the chocolate with the coconut oil, this isn't mentioned in the video.

Just made these. My attempt was far from perfect because I ended up short of chocolate for the lat 3, I think I burned the choc mix as it went a tad grainy but, my god they're delicious! And next time I make them they'll be better than this attempt. xxx

hmm these might be vegan but they really don't seem healthy? im not 100% sure since the links don't accurately state it but they say 147 cals (i can only assume per buttercup given the amount of chocolate and coconut oil used) and 151 cals per key lime slice is actually extremely calorie dense. You can say you're meant to keep potion sizes small but then by that definition pretty much everything is healthy in moderation. Felt a lil mislead on the title but they do look amazing to eat

    Hey Alyssa,

    Thanks for the recipies!!
I made something myself using your tips and ingredients, total blast to make.
My only real mistake was licking my fingers clean out of habit and I had to restrain myself from eating it all there and then 😀
No worries, my 'dough' made it safely to the freezer and now I have to bars ready to go to work with me as an afternoon treat.
